Making molecules dance to technology's tune

I am an Associate Professor in Physics in the College of Science at Swansea University and currently hold a Royal Society Leverhulme Trust Senior Fellowship.  Prior to joining Swansea in 2011, I was based in the Dept of Applied Maths and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge for many years, after obtaining a PhD from the University of Oregon in 2000 and spending two years as a post-doctoral fellow at the Open University.

I have also spent some time as Marie Curie Professorial Fellow at the University of Kuopio (now University of Eastern Finland) and Visiting Scientist at the Kavli Institute of Theoretical Physics at UCSB, the National University of Defense Technology in Changsha, China and the National University of Singapore among other places.

I have also participated in special programmes at the Institute of Mathematics & Applications at the University of Minnesota, the Bernoulli Institute in Lausanne, Banff International Research Station, the American Institute of Mathematics and the Institute for Theoretical, Molecular & Optical Physics (ITAMP, Harvard).
